Ramesh Menda has started and led companies in projects and equipment for power generation, transmission, and distribution, alongside ventures in electronics, manufacturing, and international trade.
His career spans the family business in 1950s Bombay, pioneering manufacturing in Pune, and more than four decades of enterprise in the United Arab Emirates — including board positions with joint ventures linked to the Unilever Group.
His standing in the Gulf brought him into India's trade policy: in 1988 he was named to the NRI High Level Committee, and in 1991 the Times of India covered his proposal for duty-free shops and gold banks to strengthen India's foreign exchange reserves.
In 2018 he co-founded Mya Care with his daughter Suman and son Manish — a global health and wellness platform, free for patients, born out of the family's own difficult search for specialised treatment abroad. Today he focuses on helping them build Mya Care and Mya Digital.
